• COVID-19 Massage Treatments

The Scottish Government has issued staged reopening dates, with massage services being allowed to re-open during Phase 3 which is scheduled to begin on July 22nd. Connecting Therapies will re-open on 1st August with new protocols to ensure the safety of all clients. Connecting Therapies can attest that we have followed all social distancing protocols during the entire lockdown period and will take every applicable precaution when reopening to ensure the safety of clients.

    1. When a session is booked, a confirmation email will be sent. You will also be sent other documentation including a COVID screening form. Please review these forms in advance of your appointment to ensure that you are compliant and in agreement with these new protocols. Please cancel your appointment if you cannot confidently check each box on the form. These new protocols are to ensure the health and safety of you, other clients who may be high risk and Connecting Therapies. This is a very straight forward form which can be completed on a mobile phone or tablet and sent back electronically. If you do not return this form we will not be able to offer you an appointment.

    2. A maximum of 2 clients per day will be seen. Appointments will be scheduled at a minimum of 3 hours apart to allow sufficient time to clean the massage space after each appointment. This includes the sanitisation of all hard and soft surfaces. I will be wearing a face mask and visor during all appointments and changing clothing between each appointment. Requirements for clients will be sent prior to appointments but if you would like to check this before booking please get in touch.

    2. At the discretion of Connecting Therapies, clients may be sent home if they arrive to their session presenting any symptoms of illness. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me directly at least 24hrs prior to you scheduled session.

    3. Please be aware that appointments will only be able for a maximum of 45 minutes and you will be emailed aftercare advice prior to your appointment. If you would like to discuss any aspects of aftercare I can arrange to call you by telephone or zoom at a mutually suitable time.

    Sanitation Protocols

Connecting Therapies have always upheld the highest standard of sanitation and this will be continued. You will receive information about new protocols upon booking an appointment but if you want to discuss this before doing so, please get in touch.

As a client you will be required to:

    1. Complete a risk assessment before each treatment (this will be emailed to you)
    2. Be compliant with the COVID protocol that Connecting Therapies have implemented.
    3. Not arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment.
    4. Declare upon arrival  if anything has changed with your health or within your family unit.
    5. Use hand sanitiser on arrival and upon leaving (provided by Connecting Therapies).
    6. Where possible use toilet faculties before attending your appointment.
    7. Wear a face mask when you arrive for your appointment.
    8. Wear your face mask when the treatment is finished.
    9. Bring your own water to the appointment.
    10. Pay by contactless payment or bank transfer were possible.

Please be assured that, though we cannot guarantee zero exposure to clients, we feel that we can minimise risk by ensuring that we see a low number of clients and ensure correct protocols are followed. Client well-being is always our utmost concern, however we understand that some of our higher risk clients may choose to continue self isolation during this time and encourage these clients to do so if they hold any reservations. We look forward to welcoming you back when you feel it is safe to book again.

Stay well everyone and we look forward to seeing you all very soon!
