Why do I need to practice self-care?
Life can be very fast paced . We can feel overwhelmed and drained which can lead to poor self esteem, self worth and unhealthy relationships. We are often so used to putting other people's needs first that we can frequently feel selfish or guilty when thinking about self-care and prioritising ourselves. It can be useful instead to view self-care as a necessary function that allows us to connect with ourselves on a deeper physical and emotional level. When we start to make time for our own needs positive changes follow which can include improved health, reduced stress levels and more contentment. Start with something small but start today.
